I came across your facebook page while searching for someone else and read all about the Bike and Build.
One suggestion to get more donations, including mine...put 2008 for your trip on your facebook page...
I didn't know what you were doing was this 2008 summer instead of some past date (don't want to donate to something that has already happened...still not quite sure) I know that sounds weird...but I have been around on the www long enough to have been to many out of date and untended sites.
So make everything very clear right there where someone has to click "donate"...so they don't have any questions or hesitations.
